Yes, because we now have a sophisticated science lab sitting in an area that has never been explored. Will there be unexpected results, even extraordinary results? Almost certainly. But scientists can get pretty excited about some seemingly small things

It depends on what you believe extraordinary is.
I use extraordinary as unusual or incredibly amazing. Since Mars is in fact unusual, I would suggest that most of what we find will be somewhat extraordinary.
