Am I a Medium, or is this normal

(By the way, I'm an empath if that helps anything) My entire life, I've been able to see shadows that other people can't. I can also tell if a place is haunted just by walking inside. It is definitely weird, but the odd thing is, I don't feel scared by it. To me, it almost seems..... I don't know, normal? Yeah, I guess that's it. There has only been one case where I have felt threatened by this. At my grandma's house in Missouri, she wanted me to go into her basement and grab some pans she had in the cabinet. I didn't think much of it, so I went into the kitchen and opened the door. And a sudden weird feeling came over me. One of those do-not-go-in-there-you-moron feelings. It almost felt as though something was trying to repel me. I went in there after about five minutes of it, assuming that it was nothing. The farther in I got, the worse the feeling was. Almost as if something horrible had happened there, or was still in there. But, whatever it was, it didn't want me there. My aunts house is haunted, and I see shadows there all the time, but this has never happened to me before in there. But, back to the original question, am I a medium? Reminder, I am an empath. Because of it, I can tell when things will happen, I just don't always know what, sometimes I have full on premonitions, and I can see auras. Oh, that's another thing, the shadows that I see don't have auras. BLAH, back to the question, again, medium or not? Thanks(:

Empaths, technically are mediums. The term medium is starting to gain a social inflection - just like
'aura' or 'god' - and by that I mean people automatically think they know what it means just by hearing it talked about, when in fact the actual term is nothing like what people think it is.

Medium is poorly used to describe a 'medium' between the living world and the un living one. In fact, someone who is a medium or psychic or empath is using the same ability - an extension of their existing senses and sensitivity to forms of energy - to crystalize the ideas and visions that come to them about other entities, living or unliving. If this ability is in your family then yes, I would say you all are.
