You saw that program on UK channel 4 last night didn't you? I think aliens do exist but they probably have the same problems to overcome as we do. Vast distances, huge amounts of fuel that has to be used and a lot of trial and error not to mention physical resources to build spacecraft. Antigravity lifters which can be built in your shed are definitely a step in the right direction but can only be developed with the use of advances in battery technology. Jet engines rely on air to work and ion thrusters are good but take too long to get up to speed (hundreds of years). The Bussard design would work theoretically but would be soon peppered with tiny holes from collisions with micrometeorites. What is needed is to be able to remove the consciousness from the body, put it into a protective vesel and send it where it needs to go then return it safely. A bit strange but in a few centuries time anything can happen.

There is a very high chance that aliens exist according to mathematical statistics. I guess you can consider the alien abductions along with various sightings from the military "proof" but I do not believe the idea of little green men from mars.

I totally believe in Aliens...and besides the millions of UFO sitings and the thousands of abductions, plus ex military troops from back in the day who talk about seeing aliens...well enough said.
