Do not be stupid, listen to your freaking doctor, he went to med school and did a residency he knows what he is doing. Most experienced physicians can tell it is strep without a culture, sometimes they are wrong, but if you took antibiotics and did not have strep, it would not effect your body still. Strep can travel to your heart and cause endocarditis if undiagnosed, and when that happens and you try to sue your doctors, you will get nothing because you did not listen to them.

Sure it'll go away. The risk you're taking isn't that it won't get well. The risk is that you'll develop rheumatic fever. In most of the developed world, that's a very tiny risk, but at the same time, rheumatic fever can be a devastating illness. It's completely up to you which way to choose, and both choices are reasonable.

You are at risk of acquiring an infection of your heart. So since you won't take an antibiotic, you have to have these consequences. Suffer through this time and time again, then again, then again, etc.

Why do not want to take antibiotics ? They typically dont have many side effects. Reguardless its your call either way you will most likely be okay, the antibiotics will just mkae you better faster.
