I'm going to go see my doctor about my acne. The problem is I'm trying to join the military and I don't want to be prescribed any medication because it can disqualify me during my physical and I will have to wait a year.

you dont have to take a prescription however what is the point of going to the doctor about your acne if you are not going to take the treatment offered. save the doctors time for other patients.

Here's a novel idea: why don't you TELL THE DOCTOR that you are trying to join the military and don't want any prescription medications?
No need to be manipulative, or just sit there and then reject what is offered. Have a conversation.
There are plenty of non-prescription treatments, and perhaps he/she can recommend a treatment plan that doesn't require any prescriptions.

Yes. At least in the US, you cannot be forced to take any medication, unless you are a danger to yourself, or someone else. I doubt medication for acne, falls into those categories. The doctor might not like it, but too bad, so sad.

Tell your doctor this and ask for alternatives if he does suggest a prescription. Remember you are in charge of your own health care and you can't be forced to take anything you don't want to.
-
Yes you can. Look for other Dr. if you do not agree with the first one.
-
you Can't reject a prescription from the doctor.
you can change your doctor though.
