It would be awesome to go to an Anime universe :) But do you think someone would invent or find out a portal or something to be able to? What about 12/21/12, what if the world just changes or something? idk lol

It depends on what type of parallel Universe you are talking about. A type 1 parallel Universe only requires being able to travel much much faster than the speed of light and knowing where to go. However the type 2 parallel universes of M theory would be problematic in that in M theory, pace time and the particles of a given universe are all vibrations of one membrane. A parallel universe in M theory is often on another membrane while we are basically patterns of our own membrane, any travel to another universe amounts to making a copy of yourself on the other membrane, not actually going there yourself as you are part of your universe. With type 3 or possibly type 4 ( depending on how you rate the types ), the quantum universes are every possibility so visiting another universe is simply creating another quantum universe where you visit what appears to you as another universe, basically you bifurcate a universe copy of two universes joined together. If we are talking about simulated universes then it is possible as you would simply be a set of code, mind you that brings into question whether or not you just become a copy of yourself which seems to be a consistent issue with any parallel universe other than type 1.

Why would the world "change" or for that matter anything else unusual happen on 12/21/12? I think other universes exist yes. However, I don't think it's just a matter of "going there". No I don't think it would EVER be possible, no matter what technology was available, to ever travel between them. It's not that they're just out there somewhere. They'd be completely seperate and isolated, and may even have different laws of physics.

We have yet to prove that other universes exist, and most people in the field don't think they do. All the 2012 claims are a load of crap; there's no science there at all.
