My doctor called to tell me I have endometreosis and a polyp in my uterus. I can't afford surgery so is that the only way to treat these? How much would the surgery cost? My insurance doesn't cover anything having to do with reproduction, I am in so much pain.

You could have both a polyp and endometriosis, but they are different things with different treatments. Polyps are usually not painful. Polyps are treated with surgery, d&c, to prevent any chace that it could turn out to be a cancer. That won't necessarily treat endometriosis. Endometriosis is often painful. Endometriosis may require a different surgery, laparoscopy, for diagnosis and treatment. Endometriosis is also treated with medications. Treating a polyp is not a reproductive procedure. So ask your doctor if the insurance will cover the surgery.
