combine like terms :)
5x - 3 = 6x +4 + x -3
5x- 3 = 7x +1
5x - 7x = 1 + 3
-2x = 4
x=-2

-
x=-2

-
5x - 3 = 6x + 4 + (x-3)
First collect everything on one side by subrtacting 5x and adding 3 to both sides.
0 = 6x-5x + 4 + 3 + x - 3 => 0 = 2x+4 => 2(x+2) = 0 . When x =-2, the equation is true.

Check by substituting -2 for x in the original equation:
5(-2) - 3 = 6(-2) + 4 + (-2-3) => -13 = -12 + 4 - 5 => -13 = -13. Correct.

-
5x - 3 = 6x + 4 + (x-3)

5x - 3 = 6x + 4 + x - 3

5x - 3 + 3 = 6x + 4 + x - 3 + 3

5x = 7x + 4

5x - 7x = 7x + 4 - 7x

-2x = 4

x = -4/2

x = -2..............ANS
