How to write worded polynomials

-I tend to say One plus the square of x or The square of one plus x, but that can cause confusion as well (1^2 + x or (1 + x?)).If youre not afraid of getting too wordy, saying The square of the sum of 1 and x will work.(1+x) the whole raise to 2-(one plus x)squared-One plus x all squared.......
example, if

2x+1 is "two x plus 1"
1+x^2 "one plus x squared"

then how do you write (1+x)^2 ?

If you're not afraid of getting too wordy, saying "The square of the sum of 1 and x" will work.

-
"all of one plus x times all of one plus x"

-
(1+x) the whole square
or
(1+x) the whole raise to 2

-
(one plus x)squared

-
'One plus x all squared'.
