Please help me! I'm studying for a test and I'm stuck on this question. Can you explain how to get the answer and what the answer is. Thanks xx

We know that the formula for finding area of a circle is pi(r^2)
That being so,
pi(r^2) = 49pi Eliminate pi on both sides
r^2 = 49
r = 7 or -7, unless the circle is theoretical, and lies on a plane where you need cooradinate values, then -7 is impossible (you can't have a negative length/radius)
Therefore radius = 7 inches

r = sqrt(49) = 7 in
