How do I do this equation!?

ax-b = cx-d
ax - cx = b - d
x(a - c) = (b - d)
x = (b - d)/(a - c)

ax - b = cx - d add b to each side
ax - b + b = cx - d + b
ax = cx + (b - d) subtract cx to both sides

ax - cx = cx + (b - d) - cx
ax - cx = b - d factor x from the left-hand side

Isolate the x on the left side:

ax - b - cx = - d

Add b to each side:
