How would the world be different if the ocean was made up of fresh water

Fresh drinking water is the most important thing for our survival, if it were everywhere how would this affect life on a global scale?

Life as we know it may not have evolved in the same way. The reason why we have kidneys now is because marine (saltwater) fish began to explore freshwater rivers about 450 million years ago, and needed a way to survive the new low-salt environment. The kidney developed so that they could ingest freshwater and filter it to get the nutrients that seawater would normally provide them. It's possible that we may not have also developed lungs, since these were evolved by amphibians (who evolved from fish with kidneys) as they moved into less-oxygen rich waters in swamps and needed to take oxygen from the atmosphere. There are many possible scenarios, but the truth is even if the ocean was made of fresh water initially, it would eventually become saline as the water interacts with the rocks of the continents and the ocean floor. Actually, that's basically how the ocean became salty in the first place.

Some Marine life found on saltwater wouldn't have exist. Minerals in the sea also wouldn't have exist .
BOTTOMLINE: It will heavily affect the human being if the world has an ocean of freshwater.
