I'm assuming that I'm solving for B, so here are my steps:
1 - Put 6 over 1 to make it into a fraction
2 - Factor 6 into 18 making the equation 1 = B/3
And that's where I get stuck :/
Please help?

to get rid of the fraction you multiply both sides by the denominator. Think about it logically: if B divided by 18 is 6, then 18 times 6 will equal B. You didn't have to do step one or two of what you just did. Isolating B is the goal so all you had to do was get rid of the 18. Which (as I said, I'm starting to repeat myself!) is multiply both sides by 18. It will cancel out on the right side and you will be left with 6 x 18 = B

What is the answer to this equation? 6 = B/18?
-----------------------------------
cross-multiply
6 x 18 = b = 108
-----------------------------------
cross-multiply
6 x 18 = b = 108

You can't divide by 3,that doesn't make any sense.Multiply both sides by 18 so you aren't dealing with a fraction.

6/1 = B/18
Cross Multiply:
6*18=1*B
108=B
So B=108
.....
Cross Multiply:
6*18=1*B
108=B
So B=108
