How many moles of hydrogen are in .71 mole of (C3H5)2S?3.How many grams of carbon are in 29.6g of (C3H5)2S?-1) Molar mass of (C3H5)2S = 114.......
I got wrong answers and it's frustrating
1. How many moles of sulfur are in 23.4g of (C3H5)2S?

2.How many moles of hydrogen are in .71 mole of (C3H5)2S?

3.How many grams of carbon are in 29.6g of (C3H5)2S?

1) Molar mass of (C3H5)2S = 114.23 g/mol

n((C3H5)2S) = 23.4 g / 114.23 g/mol = 0.205 mol

2) According to the formula, there are 10 moles of hydrogen for every one mole of (C3H5)2S.

(0.71 mol (C3H5)2S)(10 mol H / 1 mol (C3H5)2S) = 7.1 mol H

3) n(C3H5)2S) = 29.6 g / 114.23 g/mol = 0.259 mol (C3H5)2S

There are 6 moles of carbon for every one mole of (C3H5)2S.

(0.259 mol (C3H5)2S)(6 mol C / 1 mol (C3H5)2S) = 1.55 mol C

(1.55 mol C)(12.01 g/mol C) = 18.7 g C
