Is it really necessary to take an intro. philosophy logic class alongside learning how to do math proofs? I do know that there is logic involved. I am taking an intro to math proofs class in a few weeks.

Of course not. Which is why I'm here trolling y'all on Yahoo answers.

They complement each other. The philosophy class has lots of proofs, but they are not even similar to the complicated proofs you will learn in a math proof class.

It's probably not necessary, but it can't hurt...

Logic can only help you.
