Everytime there's a doomsday date my little sister who is 11 years old gets really scared because she thinks its real. Shouldn't schools teach kids that doomsday dates are not real, i reckon they should so kids can learn not to be scared of doomsday dates. I know there is science classes but they should teach little kids that doomsday dates are fake so when they hear a doomsday date they can laugh instead of being scared and worring alot about it.
Do you think schools should teach kids that doomsdays are fake?

Schools should teach about what a HOAX is and what a SCAM is.
Use all the doomsday stories as examples.

Schools teach science and I'm sure the subject is discussed on some level. Teachers have to follow what their bosses tell them to teach or not teach.
What bothers me the most about scares "the world is going to end" is the fact that they distract from real problems.
I'm concerned about what happens when there's hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, major fires, floods and volcanoes. There's more that governments should be doing to build shelters, planning for evacuations, food, water and medical supplies. As far as I know, many children I've talked to in various US states don't even know what to do if confronted with a downed power line, and their families don't have plans set in place for what to do in case of real disaster. There's ways to educate children without scaring them, and helping them to be prepared.

Well let her ride this Dec 2012 hoax out so she can get a life lesson. When I was growing up my mom said "They've been saying the end of the world is cumming 100 years before I was born. yet it still hasn't happened". That was enough for me cause I knew she was right..nuf said, Why is your mom not putting a end to the nonsense?...It kind of sounds like some one in the family also thinks this doomsday stuff could be real... Is this true.

No - your parents should be able to tell your sister they are fake.
And if they don't, she'll eventually learn on her own that doomsday predictions are silly.

It would be more important to teacher them critical thinking skills and how to reason.

Maybe they should teach the fable of "Chicken Little" more often. There's a reason those fables were written.

Nah... Most kids think going to School is the "End of the World"- anyway. So WHAT's the "point" ?? ;)
