My math calendar says the answer is 2. How??? I don't believe it.

Dear Roger K,
(6-(3m+4(2m-1)))/(7-11m)
Multiply 4 by each term inside the parentheses.
(6-(3m+8m-4))/(-11m+7)
Since 3m and 8m are like terms, add 8m to 3m to get 11m.
(6-(11m-4))/(-11m+7)
Multiply -1 by each term inside the parentheses.
(6-11m+4)/(-11m+7)
Add 4 to 6 to get 10.
(10-11m)/(-11m+7)
Reorder the polynomial 10-11m alphabetically from left to right, starting with the highest order term.
(-11m+10)/(-11m+7)

(6-(3m+4(2m-1))) / (7-11m)
First you have to use it FOIL method (FIrst Inner Outter Last) and remember the Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally (Prentheses, Expontnts, Multiplication and Division, Addition and Subtraction.)
Look that the (6-(3m+4(2m-1))) then focus first on the 4(2m-1).
4*2m= 8m then 4* (-1) = -4. So then you have (6-(3m +8m -4)), Combine like terms, *the ones in the middle () so it will then look like (6- (11m - 4)). That negative sign that's after the 6 will be multiplied to every number after the (). so then your equeation will look like (6 - 11m + 4). Again combine like terms. (10 - 11m). Now you put it together, (10 - 11m) / (7 - 11m). Now you have to put them inn order, so your answer will be (-11m + 10) / (-11m + 7). That is simplified. *REMEMBER* Watch your signs, if you have one wrong sign, like a negavitve number is suppose to be positive, or a multiplication problem is suppose to be division, your whole equation will be wrong. And your answer will come out wierd.

{6-[3m+4(2m-1)]}/(7-11m)
= {6-[3m+8m-4]}/(7-11m)
= (10-11m)/(7-11m)

====^ 6-(11m-4)/(7-11m)
====^ (6-11m+4)/(7-11m)
====^ 10-11m/7-11m
So, the correct answer is 10-11m/7-11m
====^ (6-11m+4)/(7-11m)
====^ 10-11m/7-11m
So, the correct answer is 10-11m/7-11m
