Explain the 11 dimensions proposed in things like string theory/m-theory

I understand everything up to the fifth dimension. Then I just face palm as I can kind of think (speculate) about how observing the 4th dimension would be like, all particles in every plane of existence at once (timeless) as well new particles that we can't comprehend and may even effect our dimension like dark energy/dark matter as well timelessness accounting for the direction of time that we observe here. And I know I couldn't actually comprehend structures in any of those dimensions but I can just think of the possibilities of things that are possible within them (the physical laws or something of that sort). How would I even start to try and do this for the 5th, 6th, and so on. Layman's terms are not needed please provide thorough answers and sources if possible. As well this is all theoretical. It hurts my brain not being able to comprehend and I need people who are more informed on the subject TO PLEASE HELP MEEEEEEEEEE

This probably won't satisfy you, but I wouldn't want you to suffer trying to think into things overseriously.
Here is the thing: Carl Sagen the astronomer, made a nice video about dimensions. Called something like Flatland. It's on youtube.
Anyway he shows how a 3D apple passing through a 2D world would be seen as just an apple slice.

Well that's what we would get from other dimensions too; just smaller and smaller bits.
As to string and m-theory: make sure you note the word "theory." Not everyone is onboard with these. Like everytime they hit a snag they just threw on another dimension (not good science).
