The first term of an arithmetic sequence is 2 and the fourth term is 11. Find the sum of the first 50 terms.

help I get so confused.. Any explanation helps!

a(n) = dn + c

a(1) = d + c = 2

a(4) = 4d + c = 11

3d = 9 => d = 3

c = -1

a(50) = 3(50) - 1 = 149

Sum of first 50 terms = 25*(2 + 149) = 3775
