Alight basically I'm stuck on a method of doing this questions.
Im not trying to let you do my hwk for me, I just need some help please.
1) If sinA = 1/3 and A is acute, find the exact values of cosA and cotA
I can find a rounded value but not exact??
My method: Inverse Sin ( 1/3) = A
and CosA
BUT IT ASKED FOR EXACTED?
I have a feeling I should have learned my special angles lol

Nothing to do with special angles use Pythagoras.
Opposite = 1
Hypotenuse = 3
Adjacent = sqrt(8)
cos A = sqrt(8)/3
cot A = cos A/sin A= sqrt(8)
Opposite = 1
Hypotenuse = 3
Adjacent = sqrt(8)
cos A = sqrt(8)/3
cot A = cos A/sin A= sqrt(8)

This goes beyond special angles. When you are given sin = 1/3 they are telling you that the right triangle it comes from has an opposite side of 1 and a hypotenuse of 3. Using those 2 values you can compute the third side and the exact value (sin = 1/3 is an exact value) of all 6 of the trig functions.
