Find the slope of the line whose y-intercept is 5 and that contains the given point.

1. (2,9)
2. (6,1)

1. y = 2x + 5
2. y = -2/3x + 5

1) m = (5 - 9)/-2 = 2

Eqn of line:

y = 2x + 5

2.) m = (1 - 5)/(6 - 0) = -2/3

y = -2x/3 + 5

Slope = (9 - 1)/(1 - 6) = -(8/5)
y = -(8/5)x + 5 or 5y = -8x + 25
