How do I find the area of this circle

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 12-05-23] [Hit: ]
And r = (the diameter / 2). Therefore,area (ot the circle ) = (3.1416) x (7ft. / 2)^2 =38.48 ft^2.......
7ft diameter. What's the answer. What is the formula?

Dear KK,

The area of the circle is given by the formula A=pie x r^2 , here you are given the diameter of the circle as 7ft. And r = (the diameter / 2). Therefore, the area of this particular circle is as follows:

area (ot the circle ) = (3.1416) x (7ft. / 2)^2 = 38.48 ft^2.

-
pie x radius squared
so from this, the diameter is 2r.
so the r of your problem is 7/2 = 3.5
so then do 3.5 x pie --> 3.5 x 3.14
i havent got a calculator to hand, sorry >.<

-
its half of the diameter
half of 7 is 3.5
which is the radius.
then you square it 3.5*3.5=12.25
then times pie which is 3.14159
12.25*3.14159=38.48411 squared
formula is: A=r^2*PIE

-
Area of a circle = pi xr^2 (pi x r squared)
Diameter = 7 so r = 3.5
area = 22/7*3.5*3.5
Cancelling gives 11*3.5 = 38.5 sqaure feet.

-
Pie x Raduis squared.

The diameter is double the radius so half the seven.

-
a = pi R squared so 7 divided by 2 is 3.5 times pi is 10.99 times 10.99 is 120.7801

-
Use 3.14 times 3 squared .

-
πr^2

(7/2)^2π = 49/4π = 38.48451
