y varies inversely with twice the value of x. When y = 10, x = 3. Find y when x = 5.

y = k/2x. Then 10 = k/6 and k = 60. So, y = 30/x and when x is 5, y = 6

y varies inversely with twice x:
1/y = (2x) or
y = 1/(2x)
But if y = 10 and x = 3
10 ≠ 1 / (2)(3)
10 ≠ 1/6

If we skip y = 10 and x = 3
and just let x = 5
then y = 1 / 2(5)
and y = 1 / 10
