............
how do you factor x^2=8? it came from 16-2x^2=0 and i got it to x^2=8 but then what? please explain in simple terms

-
16-2x^2=0
...................both sides are added by 2x²
16 = 2x²
....................both sides are divided by 2

8 = x² or x² = 8

then,
x² = 8

(x² - 8) = 0

(x -√8)(x+√8) = 0

then
(x -√8) = 0

x = √8 = √(4.2) =√4.√2 = 2√2

or

(x +√8) = 0
x = -√8 = -√(4.2) = -√4.√2 = -2√2

-
x^2=8
x^2-8=0
(x+sqrt[8])(x-sqrt[8]) = 0
x = ±2sqrt[2]

-
x = +/- 2 sqrt2
