Explain why all points on a spinning object rotate with the same angular velocity but not the sane tangential velocity. 3. How can an automobile have a centripetal acceleration but no tangential acceleration?4. What is the influence of mass and distance on gravitational forces?5.......
1. The moon orbits the earth every 29 days. Find its angular displacement and velocity.
2. Explain why all points on a spinning object rotate with the same angular velocity but not the sane tangential velocity.
3. How can an automobile have a centripetal acceleration but no tangential acceleration?
4. What is the influence of mass and distance on gravitational forces?
5. What is the rotational analog of force? How does it differ from a force? On what quantities does it depend?
6.An object rotates with a constant angular velocity. Can there be a new Torque acting on the object? Explain.
7. Is it possible for an ice skater to change her rotational speed without any external torque being applied? Explain.
8. A) Find the centripetal acceleration of an 82 kg person at the earth's equator. (hint: find the tangential velocity of the earth at its surface. tHe radius of the earth is 6378 km)
B) Calculate the centripetal force
C) Calculate the normal force exerted by the earth.
9. Determine the tangential velocity of the earth about the sun. (REarth's Orbit=1.5 x 10^8 km)
10. The tangential velocity at the equator of a large sphere of radius 35 cm increases from 2.2 m/s to 8.4 m/s in 18 rotations. Find the angular acceleration.

Thank you for your patient kindness.
Love, the 2 worst physics students to ever walk the earth with its stupid centripetal force and what not.

I will send you my work as I finish.

Go to the website bellow to see the relationship between rotational and linear motion.

The circumference of a circle = 2 * π * (the length of the radius)
Angular velocity is measured in radians per second.
Go to the website below to see what a radian is.
http://mathworld.wolfram.com/Radian.html

A radian is the angle with arc length equal to the radius.
As an object moves around a circle, it moves a tangential distance of 2 * π * r. And it moves an angular distance of 2π radians. 2π radians is the same as 1 circumference.
