and c is 49..multiply 1*49=49bx=48, so whan factors when multiplie will give you -49 and when added will give you -48?so 1*-49=-49 and 1+(-49)=48here we go x^2+x-49x-49 Whats common in(x^2+x) and (-49x-49)........

x^2's coefficient is 1..and c is 49..multiply 1*49=49
bx=48, so whan factors when multiplie will give you -49 and when added will give you -48?
so 1*-49=-49 and 1+(-49)=48
here we go
x^2+x-49x-49
What's common in(x^2+x) and (-49x-49)..whmm,looks like x and -49
x(x+1)+(-49)(x+1)=0 , notice (x+1) in both brackets, we are hearding in the right direction.
we have x an-49 outside the twin brackets,they form their own bracket.
(x+1)(x-49)=0..we got it !!!! Good day!

1. This is a quadratic. it will have two answers and you need to factor it to find those answers (or use the quadratic formula)
so x^2-48x-49 = (x-49)(x+1)
set those equal to 0
x-49 = 0
x= 49
and x+1 = 0
x = -1
2. this one just plug in 6 for t
-16(6)^2 + 500(6)
-16(36)+3000
-576+3000
2424 feet
3. Try this (s+2)^2=81 and solve for s

You have to factor and solve for the x = 0 property.
You have to plug-in t into the equation.
9 x 9 = 81
Subtract 2 from both sides and get 7 for the dimensions.
