1. Solve -4k-2=10
2. t/5+3=3
Please help me!
2. t/5+3=3
Please help me!
-
1) K = -3
Work: -4k - 2 = 10 + 2
10 + 2 = 12 -4k = 12
12/-4 = -4k/-4
12/-4=-3
K=-3
2) T=0
Work : T/5 + 3 = 3 - 3
3 - 3 = 0 T/5=0
0/5 = T/5 / 5
0/5 = 0
T=0
You can plug in the variable answers and see that my answers are correct. If you ever need help with Algebra just ask me. ;)
Work: -4k - 2 = 10 + 2
10 + 2 = 12 -4k = 12
12/-4 = -4k/-4
12/-4=-3
K=-3
2) T=0
Work : T/5 + 3 = 3 - 3
3 - 3 = 0 T/5=0
0/5 = T/5 / 5
0/5 = 0
T=0

Ok so here are the answers and the explanations, please read the explanations because you need to understand!
1) -4k-2=10
(so you take the -2 from one side and add it to the other side) -4k=10+2
(so you do the sum) -4k=12
(so then you take the -4 from one side and times it onto the other side) k=12/-4
(do the sum) k=-3
2) t/5+3=3
(so you take the +3 from one side and subract it from the other) t/5=3-3
(so the sum is) t/5=0
( then you do the divided by 5 onto the other side making times by 5) t=5x0
(so the answwerr is:) t=0
Hope this helped and PLease please please read the notes and ask your teacher about how to do them if you still dont understand :)

1 get k alone on one side of the equation.
add 2 to both sides ---> -4k=12
divide both sides by -4 ---> k=-12/4
reduce ---> k = -3
check you work by replacing k with -3 and seeing if it is true.
2 get t alone on one side of the equation
subtract 3 from both sides - --> t/5 = 0
multiply both sides by 5 ---> t = 0
heck you work

1. -4k=12 ( add 2 to both sides)
k= 12/ -4
k= -3
2. if u mean (t/5)+3=3
then:
t/5=0 (take away 3 from both sides)
t=0
k= 12/ -4
k= -3
2. if u mean (t/5)+3=3
then:
t/5=0 (take away 3 from both sides)
t=0
