Please explain and write it as an algebriac expression . It is DUE TOMMOROW!!!!!!! thxs!!!! :/

IMHO, I believe the expression will be:
p + 0.4 – (p + 0.4)⁵
Reason?
"A sum ( ie p + 0.4 ) is decreased by the fifth power of the same number (ie the SUM)"
Hope this helps! Cheers! :)

I'll explain it so you're not just getting the answer. Use this for your own understanding or not. So take it in parts to figure out the sections.
Part one: SUM (so the addition of) of a number 'p' and 0.4 --> p + 0.4
Part two: the fifth power of the same number --> the number p raised to the 5th power --> p^5
Part three: DECREASED (so the subtraction of) --> part one minus part two
Which brings you to:
(p + 0.4) - p^5
P.S. Part two is my understanding of it. But there is a chance that the person that answered before me is also correct.
