-4, -3, -2, -1, 0,-4,......
So I have this problem, and whenever I do it I get a striaght line, but I'm supposed to come up with a result of a V. Can someone explain it to me, here's my question:

y = |x + 5| − 3

I used for X:
-6, -5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1
For Y: (I got something wrong but I don't know what)
-4, -3, -2, -1, 0, -1, -2, -3

-
________x: -6,-5,-4,-3,-2,-1,0, 1
____|x + 5|: 1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
y=|x + 5|-3: -2,-3,-2,-1, 0, 1, 2, 3

-
You're suppose to get a v because of the absolute value signs, cause if x is 0 y is 2 but if x is- 10 x is 2 also. Cause the absolute value means that whatever is in side whether its positive or negative if its in absolute value signs its gonna be positive so`|2|=2 and| -2|=2

-
Distributive property?
