X and y equations help

Could someone show me step by step answers?
For x: 3x-y=9
For y: 3(x+y)=2y+1

3x - y = 9 for x:
add y to both sides:
3x = 9 + y
divide both sides by 3:
x = (9 + y)/3

3(x + y) = 2y + 1 for y:
distribute:
3x + 3y = 2y + 1
subtract 2y from both sides:
3x + y = 1
subtract 3x from both sides:
y = 1 - 3x
