Im taking geometry and there giving us a review of algebra and i completly forgot how to do these problems.
1.A function is represented by f(x)=2x^2+5. Find f(3) How do i solve this problems step by step please.
3.Express in simplest radical form (2√6) (4√10)
4. One third of a number is three more than one fourth of the same number. What is the number?
Thank you so much if you helped and step by step for each problem would help me out alot.

1.A function is represented by f(x)=2x^2+5. Find f(3) How do i solve this problems step by step please.
f(3) means x = 3 so you replace every x with 3 and solve
1) f(3) = 2(3)^2 + 5
2) f(3) = 2(9) + 5
3) f(3) = 18 + 5 = 23
3.Express in simplest radical form (2√6) (4√10)
1) 2*4 = 8, √6*√10 = √60
2) 8√60 = 8√(4*15) We can square root 4 into 2 so,
3) 16√15
4. One third of a number is three more than one fourth of the same number. What is the number?
One third of a number = 1x/3
three more than one fourth of the same number = 1x/4 + 3
1) 1x/3 = 1x/4 + 3 //Multiply everything by 12
2) 4x = 3x + 36
3) x = 36
