How do i find the x and y intercept 4x-6y=72

y-int: 4(0)-6y=72 -6y=72y=72/-6y= -12-1.2. Then balance the problem. Divide negative six from the othe side to make it y= (?x) + (?3.......
Intercepts are when the opposite variable is equal to 0. i.e... x-intercept is when y=0 and y-int is x=0
So in your case it would be:
X-int:
4x-6(0)=72
4x=72
x=72/4
x=18

y-int: 4(0)-6y=72
-6y=72
y=72/-6
y= -12

-
1. Move the 4x to the other side of the equation
to make it -6y=4x+72
2. Then balance the problem. Divide negative six from the othe side to make it y= (?x) + (?)
3. Keep balncing until you get what y is equal to . Then substitute the answer back into the equation from # 1 and x will be found when the problem is balanced.
