the floor of a bathroom is 8 ft by 6ft has to be fitted with sq marble tiles of largest possible size . Find the size of the tile required in inches and number of tiles . ( also show the conversion of ft into inches as i do not know )

the largest square tile should have 2 ft X 2ft = 4 sq ft
1ft = 12 inch
Number of tiles: 6*8 / 4 = 12
1ft = 12 inch
Number of tiles: 6*8 / 4 = 12

Well if you don't have a max that your tiles can be and the only requirement is that they have to be square, I'd say 2ft by 2ft. Don't even have to go to inches.
Pretend that each one of my "O" is a 2 ft by 2 ft tile, It would look like this
OOO
OOO
OOO 8 ft long
OOO
6ft wide
I don't know what t is because you never defined it. Are you sure this is the whole question and your not leaving out any details? If it is, this is your answer.

HCF of 8 ft and 6 ft is 2 ft so use 24 tiles of size 2 ft x 2 ft.
