4 Question: Based on the answer to question 1 and 2, make a guess on the number of seconds for the green light when he average is 20 vehicles per light cycle. Then calculate the number of seconds USING the EXPRESSION.
# 1 problem: How many seconds should the green light be on if a street averages 5 vehicles in each lane per light cycle? Round to the nearest whole number. The answer is 14 seconds (rounded)
# 2 problem: How many seconds for the green light, to the nearest whole number, if the average is 10 vehicles per light cycle? If the average is 15 vehicles per light cycle? The answer for both of this problem is: 25 seconds (rounded); 35 seconds (rounded).
For problem number for I am looking how to solve the expression part, have to use order of operation of equation I believe.
* The formula to use/plug is 2.1n+3.7
Please help me solve this. I don't know how to do the problem # 4 properly.

1) s= 2.1(5)+3.7
s= 10.5+3.7
=14.2 or rounded to 14 sec
2) s= 2.1(10)+3.7
s= 21+3.7
s=24.7 or 25 rounded
4) is asking two questions. First make a guess based on what you learned in problems 1 and 2.
So it looks like adding 5 more vehicles added about 11 sec
Then adding 10 more vehicles should add about 22 sec. 25+ 22= 47 sec
****edit : looking at problem 1, 5 vehicles needed 14 sec. Then in problem 2, 10 vehicles needed 25 secs. So the 5 additional vehicles added 11 sec.

Now it says to use the formula.
S=2.1(20)+3.7
s=42+3.7
s=45.7 or 46 rounded
Hoping this helps!
s= 10.5+3.7
=14.2 or rounded to 14 sec
2) s= 2.1(10)+3.7
s= 21+3.7
s=24.7 or 25 rounded
