Math placement question

[From: ] [author: ] [Date: 11-09-16] [Hit: ]
As long as you dont fall in the integrated. Give effort and you wont be very effected by your math placement. You will also catch up to your friend who is in AP Calc BC. In my opinion, taking AP calc BC as a freshman is not a good idea unless youre a math prodigy. There wont be much to take for math in high school after AP Calc BC and his math skills may diminish by the time he/she reaches college.......
I have a question: Does your math level in high school effect your college application?

for example, I was in Geo when I was a freshman and I am in algebra 2 trig in my sophomore year.

compare with others, one of my friend (freshman) got into AP clac BC, does that mean he can go to a better college as I do?

Math placement won't really matter as long as you don't fall behind and have to take a lot of integrated math classes because of a bad grade in, for example, Geometry. Colleges look at a variety of factors; math placement is just one of them. Depending on what you major in, they might not even care about your math. Don't worry about it.

EDIT
As long as you do well in your math classes (and other classes), you'll get into a good school. Again, don't worry about it.

Find the college(s) you're planning to attend. Look at the admission requirements to find if you will or have met the requirements.
