A rubber ball as dropped from the top of a wall 16 ft High. Each time it hits the ground it bounces half as high as it's previous high point. If the ball is caught just as it bounces 1 foot High, how far has the ball traveled.?

-
16ft + 8ft (first bounce)
+ 8ft + 4ft (second bounce)
+ 4ft + 2ft (third bounce)
+ 2ft + 1ft (fourth and final bounce)

45 feet

-
16 + 8 + 8 + 4 + 4 + 2 + 2 +1 = 45 ft

-
45ft AS other said

16+8+8+4+4+2+2+1=48
