Find the value of x for which f(x)=g(x)

......
f(x)=x^2+2x+1
g(x)= 3x+3

Could you show me how to do this? thanks!

-
Just set them equal then solve the resulting equation:
x² + 2x + 1 = 3x + 3
x² - x - 2 = 0
(x + 1)(x - 2) = 0
x + 1 = 0 OR x - 2 = 0
x = -1 OR x = 2

-
make f(x) = g(x) thereofre x^2+2x+1 = 3x+3
x^2-x-2=0
(x+1)(x-2) = 0
therefore x can be -1 or 2.
