Need help solving another college algebra equation

2 = 3 which is false.so,Its an awkward question.7x = -15 ---> x = -15/7-Hi,I hope that helps!!......
(x+2)(x-3) = (x+3)^2

Can someone show me the steps to this? It doesn't show an example in my book. School just started and I'm very rusty at these, math was never my strong point anyway :(
Thank you!

-
(x+2)(x-3) = (x+3)^2

you have (x-3) on both sides, so factor it out.

(x+2) = (x+3)

x+2 = x+3

subtract x to get

2 = 3 which is false.

no solution for x

-
(x+2)(x-3) = (x+3)²
x² - x - 6 = x² + 9 + 6x
so,
-7x = 15
x = - (15/7)

Its an awkward question.

-
expand and simplify
x^2 - x - 6 = x^2 + 6x +9
7x = -15 ---> x = -15/7

Hi,

(x+2)(x-3) = (x+3)²

x² - x - 6 = x² + 6x + 9

-x - 6 = 6x + 9

7x = -15

x = -15/7 <==ANSWER

I hope that helps!! :-)
