60M--the first hour
60*0.75 = 45m---the second hour
45*0.75=33.75m---the third hour
33.75*0.75 = 25.3125--the fourth hour
25.3125 * 0.75 = 18.984375
Total: 183.04m
60*0.75 = 45m---the second hour
45*0.75=33.75m---the third hour
33.75*0.75 = 25.3125--the fourth hour
25.3125 * 0.75 = 18.984375
Total: 183.04m

Well the first thing you need to know is 75% of 60m is 45m. And since he scaled 45m per hour, for 4 hours. During that four hours he scaled 180m.
You then add the first hour's 60m to the 180m to get the total distance climbed which is 240m and not 183m.
Pretty sure the answer you have is wrong..
Anyway, would you be so kind to answer my question too please? :D Thank you!

60+60(.75)+60(.75)(.75)+60(.75)(.75)(.75…
or
(60+60(.750^5)
or
(60+60(.750^5)
