(x-3) x + (4-x) 2x
Distribute your x and 2x first
x2 - 3x + 8x - 2x2
Add and subtract like terms (x2 - 2x2 & -3x + 8x)
Answer
-x2 +5x
P.s. that is negative x squared + 5x

I'm guessing you meant x(x-3) + 2x(4-x)
Multiply the parenthesis with the outside number x^2 - 3x + 8x - 2x^2
Combine like terms. -x^2 - 5x
There you go
