LCD would be 10. Make denominators both 10 and you'll get 2/10 and 15/10. Now, add 2/10 x and 15/10 x and you'll get 17/10x.
b. Find the LCD. LCD= 4. 5/2 becomes 10/4 while 7/4 remains the same. Now subtract 7/4a from 10/4a. You'll get 3/4a.
c. 6/x remains the same. Combine -2 and 1 and you'll get -1. Cross out the x's in 2x/x and you'll get 2. Now you can combine -1 and 2 and you'll get 1. The equation then becomes 6/x + 1. If you prefer, you can make 1 to x/x and combine it with 6/x and you'll get (6+x)/x.
