What is flora and fauna in a biome

I have science project to do, and on the rubric, it says to tell what the dominate flora and fauna for your biome. I was assigned the estuary biome. I'm not entirely sure what these things are.

flora = plant life
fauna = animal life
The types of flora and fauna would depend on what region your estuary is in.
