Recently I have Purchased a 875 VA Luminus inverter and Su Kam 12V, 200 A/H Tubular Battery. The charging voltage across the battery terminal is 13.5V. Before this I have used Excide Battery....which was rated 14.5 to 14.8 Volts charging volts across the battery terminal. Please advice me. I have not got any official information about rated charging voltage of Su Kam battery. Is it safe to use 13.5V to charge the 12V Su Kam Battery? Thanks.

It is safe to charge it with 13.5V , set charging current 20A for 10 hours charge time.

Charging Voltage is selected to provide a regulated
charging current.
For a 200AH battery, maximum charging current is
5-10 Amperes. (depending on internal cell construction).
The Voltage required to produce an optimum
charging current is also dependent on cell design
and plate materials.
13.5V charge rate is safe for almost all 12V lead acid cells.
Only the battery's manufacturer can supply
the exact optimum value.
