Depending on what type of engineering, geometry is more important than calculus. I work with structures and what uses calculus are "packs" that are bought ready to use. But imagining a part, designing it uses more geometry than anything else. Have a look on the source, that is a site for structures' engineers.

For most work engineers don't use much calculus. As long as you understand the principles you can still be s very effective engineer.
