Find the standard from of the equation of the ellipse satisfying the given conditions:
Foci: (-6,0) (6,0) and y-intercepts -2, 2

thanks :)

^ That one would work only if the x-intercepts are (-6,0) and (6,0)

When the foci are given, we can calculate the x-intercepts using the formula

c² = a² - b², where c is 6 and b is 2, so a would be √40

x²/40 + y²/4 = 1 would be the standard form of the equation

Edit : Hm, the previous answer has disappeared
