I don't have any machineist tools or anything like that. I am trying to make the LTD model that stands up and down, not the side ways version. Any ideas?

Surely you'll need to seal the power piston too?
You could maybe using something like bellow seals, or if the movements not much a stretchy material like cut up latex gloves will suffice.. Have a look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klbBn_3uf… as it should give you the gist of how to use latex to make those seals for a sterling. It's flexible seals aren't too different from the flexible metal diaphragms used on air compressor, which might make for a more robust design if you can source any.
