How to make a robot from RC car

By arranging the motor correctly. If your circuit support additional input and output u can add in more motor.......
i have a medium RC car which operates on 8 AAbatteries for car and 4 for remote, it can move forward, backward and left or right.

can i use the motor and the RC to build myself a small robot which will move in any direction as input is given by me from remote?

Simple answer is NO because a robot that can move in any direction needs 2 motors so it can pivot in place and move forward/backward and you only have one and you need speed controls for both motors and unless the steering has proportional positioning, you are missing that. If you want to build a 4 wheel robot base that steers just like the car, then you have a chance.

For turning on spot, you really need two drive motors, ie +Left wheel&-Right wheel. Single motor and a differential can power two driving wheels- use steering servo to apply a brake to either of those wheel for steering&minimum turning circle=length of axle. Castors support other end of vehicle
