Why do people on earth experience two high tides and two low tides every 24 hours?
-
Most places on earth only have ONE high and low tide every 24 hours.
Just in case that is what you meant, the one high tide and one low tide are caused by the pull between the moon's gravity and the ocean. High tide is a few hours after the moon is directly overhead and low tide is a few hours after the moon is on the other side of the earth, because there is a lag. this is not true everywhere and has to do with the shape of the land.
