what is the final temperature of the nickel?please provide steps...........
The specific heat of nickel is 0.444J/g'C. If you add 85.0J of heat to a 50.0g piece of nickel at 22'C, what is the final temperature of the nickel?

please provide steps.....

-
Heat energy = mass * specific heat * change in temp
85.0 = 50*0.444* change in temp
Change in temp = 85/ ( 50*0.444)
Change in temp = 85/ 22.2
Change in temp = 3.8°C

New temp = 22+3.8 = 25.8°C.
