I was using a recipe I found online for cleaning bathroom mildew: equal parts bleach, vinegar, and water. When I added the water it suddenly produced the most awful odor. My throat is a little sore and my stomach is a little queasy but otherwise I feel fine. This happened a half hour ago and is getting better. What about my mom? She is asleep in the next room. I went in there and can't smell anything but just to be safe I closed the vent in her room. Closed the vent in the bathroom too and dumped the mixture outside and diluted it with water. I don't want to tell mom unless I need to because she has always had an obsession about being poisoned. Something like this happened before and she didn't calm down for months.

I think you'll be okay, crack open a couple of windows. Don't mix chemicals together. It's very dangerous to do so, if you don't know what you're doing. But you did good fixing things. Ithink you and your Mom will be fine.

You have discovered Chlorine gas which is extremely dangerous in enclosed spaces. you will be fine as it sounds like you were not exposed to too much but take the advice of Nesquick don't mix things if you don't understand what will happen !
